We Are Committed In Ensuring Accountability Of School Agricultural Grants - Aga Says

The special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on school Agricultural Program, Hon. Uchenna Aga have vowed to ensure that total accountability is deployed in utilization and recovery of the Agricultural grants made available for school Agricultural Program by state Governor, David Umahi.

The special Assistant made this known during his continued visit and assessment tour of the pilot schools in the state.

Aga, who have so far covered most of the pilot schools in the state. Said that the effeciency and sustainability of the program is his utmost priority.


In his visit to Community secondary School Nwofe Agbaja in Izzi Local Government Area of the state, the SA met with the Principal, Mr Nwobegu James Nwachukwu and other Agric team which includes Nome Boniface, Okechukwu Alfred, Oguzor Edwin and Chief Egbo Nwazufu. It was discovered that the one million naira grant to the school could not be properly accounted for, by the former principal, Mr Igwenzi Damian Alagba and the SA ordered him to report to his office before this Thursday and that the money should be paid to the school Agriculture account.
Meanwhile, on the of the SA, Mr Alagba has remitted the one million naira (#1,000,000) grant to the school Agriculture account.
