Non Implementation Of 2018 Act :NOUN students to hold Solidarity Walk Monday March 2nd


The National Open University of Nigeria Students within and beyond the shores of Nigeria have been urged to come out in their large numbers on Monday 2nd March 2020 to stage a protest rally in support of the implementation of the NOUN acts that has been signed into law since 2018 which allows NOUN graduate to participate in the NYSC 1 year scheme.

The protest code-named "Save our future Solidarity Walk" which is being organized by NOUN NYSC/LAW SCHOOL SAGA MOVEMENT (NNLSS); an umbrella body of all NOUN students agitating for the implementation of the NOUN acts that was signed into law since Dec 04 2018 but nothing has been done so far for the implementation. will take place in all the  States capital in Nigeria.

The NNLSS is being led by NOUN students Leader, OYEWALE SEGUN OLATOMIDE popularly known as Segxy Aluta. (AGM).

According to a statement made available to News Men on monday Feb 24 2020.by the Cordinator,  the protest will hold simultaneously in all the 36 states respectively from 9am.

“All NOUN Students are urged to come out in their millions any where they are in Nigeria on Monday 2nd of March to show to the world that enough is enough, federal government and school management stop playing with our future . We must show to all the concern authorities that we are tired of been treated as third class citizens,  No more discrimination of our students, Enough is enough.

“Well-meaning NOUN students leader and other students leader body of thought would be at designated venues to address the protest. We want to let the federal government know that we are tired of I don't care altitude towards our future,  despite the fact that we gave them 7 days ultimatum to order the implementation of this acts but nothing has been done and no reaction towards our demand.

The list of state co-ordinators, and the meeting point according to the statement, would be released on Thursday 27th Feb 2020 after proper consultation with relevant stakeholders.
