2020 Farming Season: Ebonyi State Government Sets To Profile 34, 200 Farmers

The Agricultural Revolution Agenda of Ebonyi State is gathering momentum as the State Government is set to profile 34,200 farmers for each of the respective crop commodities, namely rice cassava and Maize, for the 2020 farming season.



The Chairman State Exco Committee on Profiling of farmers for 2020 farming season disclosed this during a meeting between the Committee and the Laison officers, and the Management Committee Members  in the 171 wards of the state as well as the Ward GUMEBA Chairmen in each of the wards of the state, which held on the 7th day of February,2020 at the Traditional Rulers Council Hall, Abakaliki
Orji who thanked the invitees on behalf of the  Committee commended them for their massive attendance despite the short notice.

In attendance were the Commissioner for Agriculture & Natural Resources,Chief M.O Nomeh, the Perm Secs of  LGCM&RD, Agriculture & Natural Resources & SSG's Office. 200 forms are meant to be distributed in each of the 171;wards and for the respective crop commodities

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part. "Our party hails the legislative house strongly for this feat and flexible decision. Expectedly, the legislators should follow action to see that this fund is fully released so as to guarantee free and fair election. The new born babies who are the crown Queen's birthday mates received gifts items from her.
