The President and founder Power House Interdenominational Assembly Ambassador Ephraim Ononye has warned Christians to stop giving Pastors money for consultation for prayers and miracles.
condemned the activities of some acalamained Pastors for extorting money for poor masses in the name of prayers.

Ambassador Ononye who stated this during a Fast Party  organized by the Ministry for the street beggars, less privileged and widows to mark the end of the 40 days fasting and praying at Abakaliki said that Christ has paid the price on the Cross of Calvary.

The Man of God who condemned the activities of some acalamained Pastors for extorting money for poor masses in the name of prayers  said Only the truth shall make you free, not money given to pastors.

" Let me warn Christians not to be giving Pastors money for prayers and miracles, stop patronizing Pastors that charge money for consultation for prayers.. It is only the truth shall make you free, not money given to pastors".

He emphasized that it was the duty of the Church to take care of the needy and the less privileged and not to exploiting  them or taking advantage of their helpless situation.

The event which witnessed the distribution of 102 bags of rice to widows is an annual event  of the ministry geared towards giving the street beggars, less privileged and widows sense of belonging.

He explained that the beggars and people with disabilities, deserved to be given sense of belonging in the society, which was why the Ministry deemed it necessary to always identify with them.t

He said: "We started our annual programme, forty days fasting and prayers, that starts every 1st January. It started 1st of January this year. We had the prayers and fasting for 39 days. This is the 40th day.

"Within this period, we were coming here every day to pray. And by the grace of God, we had to end the programme with end of fast party, that was captioned Rehoboth. We see this place as a Rehoboth. A land that God has given us to prosper.

"As we use to do annually, we invite street beggars and people living with disabilities. The less privileged ones in the society. We party with them. Then, we eat together with them and make them feel belonged in the society; that they shouldn't be seeing as people who don't have a place in the society.

"We made them our special guests of honor in this programme to make them have sense of belonging in the society.

Two beggars, Mr. Nwele Chukwu who is blind from Ikwo LGA, and Mrs Grace Obasi from Ezza North LGA, thanked Ambassador Ononye for the gesture and prayed God to reward him.

Also, two widows, Mrs, Ononenyi Christiana, and Mrs Theresa Ezeoma, also thanked their benefactor, for coming to their aid, and prayed God to protect him and give him more powers to continue to work in His vineyard.
