Ebonyi Fertilizer Blending Plant Commences Operation

Ebonyi state fertilizer blending plant is to commence production by next week to assist farmers in this year's farming season.
The assurance was given by the managing Director of Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority(NSIA),Mr Uche Orji,who was in Ebonyi state with his team for a one day working visit.
Mr Orji who said,one of the key reasons for his visit was fertilizer programmes,expressed delight with the investment opportunities made available in the state by governor Umahi's led administration,describing the Ebonyi fertilizer blending plant as the only one in the South east,and best in the country.
"From next week,Ebonyi state blending plant will commence blending for the this year's farming season. As you are aware,one of the key things that brought us here is fertilizer programme. We have seen many things and I am highly impressed with what I have seen in Ebonyi. The fertilizer blending plant is just one in the South East. It is nice to see the expansion.
"Presidential fertilizer initiatives is what we are managing for the Federal government and it has expanded substantially to accommodate 26 blending plants.
"Our visit is preparatory arrangement that will enable us to invest financially in the economics and commercial potentials of the state,in the area of Agriculture,Solid minerals,Industry and Healthcare".
"The money we manage belong to federal and state government. We will be in Jigawa on Thursday. Am going to see all the blending plants in the states".
According to the managing director,at the end of the exercise,the NSIA will decide where and how to invest in the economic potentials of the state,adding that NSIA has been investing on state fertilizer programmes since 2017.
In an interview,the Ebonyi state commissioner for Information and state Orientation,and Acting commissioner for Human capital development,Barr. Uchenna Orji,who conducted the team round,with commissioner for Agriculture,Chief Moses Nome,his solid minerals counterpart,Chief Donatus Njoku,SSA on investment,Mrs Chioma Nweze,said,the managing Director of Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority,Mr Uche Orji,had earlier,interacted with the governor of the state,Engr.David Umahi,and state have opted to show the team various facilities,especially,the agricultural potentials and solid mineral potentials in the state.
Barr. Orji,expressed hope that,the visit will make some interventions and impact in the area of job creation and investment to develop Ebonyi state.
He thanked the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority for doing a lot to help develop solid minerals,agriculture and other investment potentials.
Areas visited by the team included,Ebonyi Fertilizer blending plant,International market,Shopping Mall,Ecumenical centre, veterinary school Ezzangbo,integrated poultry farm,Industrial clusters, and college of medicine.
