FIDA Rates Ebonyi State Most Gender Friendly ,Best In Promoting Gender Affirmative Action

The International Federation of Female Lawyers popularly known as FIDA has described Ebonyi State as the most gender friendly State in Nigeria.

The group stated this when they paid  advocasy visit  to the Honourable Commissioner for Information and State Orientation and Ag Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji in his office. The group led  by it's State Chairman, Barr. Mrs I. P Chima stated that their duty of advocasy against Female Genital Mutilation was apt and timely as it was coming at a time when the  Wife of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency Chief Mrs Rachel Umahi had domesticated VAPP Law. The group who used the opportunity to celebrate this year's International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation said  the fight against violence against women and the vunerable is getting the desired result in Ebonyi State

Reacting, the Commissioner described the Governor of Ebonyi State,His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi and his adorable wife,Her Excellency Chief Mrs Rachel Ogonna Umahi, Ogoo Nwanyi, as God's special gift to mankind. He said the first family had remained the best  in promoting affirmative action and  gender mainstreaming and this had impacted on the living standard of the women in Ebonyi State.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part. The new born babies who are the crown Queen's birthday mates received gifts items from her.
