Libolo Edda welfare Association Gets New Leadership

In order to ensure the enthronement of peace in all parts of the state, Ebonyi State Government through the ministry of internal security, border peace and conflict resolution, this Wednesday inaugurated an eight member caretaker executive committee of Libolo Edda welfare Association.

Inaugurating the committee in his office, the Hon. Commmissioner in- charge of the ministry, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, charged the members of the committee to ensure that an enduring peace prevail in all parts of the area.

He told them that the sole task ahead, is to work out modalities of reconciling all aggrieved Parties and ensure that peace and unity of purpose is returned in the area.

Emegha warned the Committee against embarking on any other developmentai project order than working for permanent restoration of peace In the area as no meaningful Development can take place in the atmosphere pervaded with rancor and acrimony.

The caretaker Committee will serve for six months after which, election will be held to elect Leaders.

Speaking during the inauguration,  the Coordinator Afikpo South Development Center, Hon. Igwe Orji, the former Chairman of the Association, Chief Uka Irem Nnachi advised the committee to lead the people in truth and fairness so that the lost glory of Libolo will be restored.

In his acceptance speech, the caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Partrick Idika Arua on behalf of other members, promised to lead with the fear of God and abide by the terms given to them by Commmissioner and ensure peace prevails in Libolo.
The committee members are Chief Partrick Idika Arua, Chairman; Elder Nnachi Ukpa, Secretary; Mr Udu Irem Udu, member and Mr Nnanna Irem Ibiam, member. Others are Mr John Ibe, member; Mr Kenneth Agwu Obasi, member; Mr Nnanna Ukpai Orji, member and Mr Michael Oburu, member.
