Ebonyi Government Approves Construction Of Three Additional Rural Roads

Three new rural roads have been approved for construction by the Ebonyi state government in line with its rural development drive.

The roads,include,Enyibichiri/Ojon/Nwida road,Agubia/Abina/Oronga/Item Amagu road,all in Ikwo local government area,and Ovuduechi/Oyege/Ndufu road,in Izzi local government area.

Briefing newsmen after the end of this week's state Executive council meeting,held at EXCO chambers,government house,Abakaliki,the Ebonyi state commissioner for works and transport,Engr. Ogbonnia Obasi flanked by the commissioner for Information and state Orientation,Barr.Uchenna Orji,said,Enyibichiri/Ojon/Nwida road was first awarded by the state government,followed by Agubia/Abina/Oronga/Item Amagu road,both at Ikwo local government,while Ovuduechi/Oyege/Ndiofutu road in Izzi local government was later awarded

According to the commissioner,approval was given for the construction of the roads in phases of 5 kilometres each,in view of the length of the roads.

The commissioner for Information and state Orientation,Barr.Uchenna Orji,disclosed that the report on law reform presented by its law review and reform commission,headed by Justice Elvis Ngene,received commendation from the state Executive council.

"Let me add that the state Executive council also deliberated on a report by the Law Review and report commission headed by Justice Elvis Ngene.
The commission made presentation about law reform on laws from 2019 till date. And presented 4 volumes of codified law. That is from volume 7 to 10. And the Executive Council did accept and appreciated their good work".

 Orji,also disclosed that the Council received the vice chancellor and management staff of Alex Ekwueme Federal University,Ndufu Alike Ikwo,who came to make presentation on the progress,the institution has made,especially in the area of job creation,university community relationship and development.

According to commissioner Orji,the council while thanking the vice chancellor for a job well done,offered collaboration with the university in the area of academics and development.

Barr.Orji,further announced that,Council approved the presentation made by the Special Assistant(SA) to the the governor on Attitudinal change to have an outfit called "Attitudinal change volunteer vanguard" and directed that SA should go ahead to establish it,to ensure that the attitude of the people changed for better.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state.
