Ebonyi Adjudged Safest State In Nigeria- Commmissioner Emegha Reveals

The Ebonyi  state Commissioner for Internal Security, border peace and conflict resolution, Hon. Stanley Emegha have revealed that Ebonyi state remains the safest state in Nigeria, stressing that the security architecture of the state is hinge on the commitment of the Governor David Umahi.

Hon. Emegha noted that the state is peaceful as a result of the developmental programmes of Governor Umahi, that are targeted at poverty eradication and crime reduction in the state.

The Commissioner, while addressing journalists from PEOPLES’ GUIDE NEWSPAPER, during a courtesy visit, at his office in Abakaliki, Ebony state disclosed that his ministry will soon unveil technological-enhanced security equipment that would track criminals within the ambit of the state.



“In a state, where the Governor is doing tremendously well like Governor David Umahi, You will hardly see criminals. Ebonyi is the safest state in Nigeria, compare it with other states. Despite the low rate of the Federal Government Subvention, our governor is still doing wonders.

“You will see that in the next six months, we will unveil a security technology in all the 29 exit points in the state, that will capture any criminal,” he said.

He also urged journalists to desist from fake news and other negative form of reporting, noting that the role of journalists in the governance of a state cannot be overemphasized.

Speaking earlier, the Managing Editor of Peoples’ Guide Newspaper, Mr Israel Mbam commended the commissioner for ensuring that there is peace within the communities of the state.

Mr. Mbam promised the commissioner that the newspaper medium will ensure that the activities of the ministry are reported objectively.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state.
