SA School Agricultural Program Moves To Instill Accountability In Utilizing School Agricultural Grants



The special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on School Agricultural Program, Hon. Uchenna Aga, have in recent times toured the thirty one (31) Agricultural Program pilot schools across the state. The tour which have provided him broader insight on the challenges, achievements and prospects of the state with the view of enhancing and repositioning it for greater productivity.

Addressing delegates from the thirty one (31) pilot schools recently in his office, the SA called for close accountability in the utilization of the Agricultural grants from the state Governor to ensure that the essence of the program is achieved and sustained.

Aga however, ordered that all financial records and Bank statement of transactions in their respective school Agriculture Program account be made available to him before Friday, 14th of March, for proper scrutiny.

He warned against mismanagement of the funds, noting that such action will not be condoned.

The Special assistant reminded the delegates of his earlier plans to put up Agricultural Show before the end of the year, which will focus primarily on showcasing the Agricultural produce from the participating schools among other things, he assured that the plan is still on course.
