School Agricultural Program: Government Commends GHS Azuiyiokwu, Slams Ekumenyi Secondary School

The Special Assistant to Ebonyi state Governor on school Agricultural Program, Hon. Uchenna Aga have commended the school Agricultural Committee members of Girls High school, Azuiyiokwu for the excellent performance they have put up In their Poultry farm projects.
The SA, who was in the school to assess the performance of the program, applauded the management for putting up the best.
He however, advised them to seek for other areas of comparative advantage and explore, for greater productivity.
Aga urged them to make available a comprehensive farm report and financial statement for records purpose.
Responding on behalf of the team, Mrs Onwuegbuna G.M, the principal thanked the SA and promised to do more and explore other areas for the purpose.
On the other hand, the SA frowned at the poor performance of Ekumenyi Secondary School Okpuitumo, Abakaliki.
The Special Assistant who was visibly angry, described their cassava/ Poultry farms as very poor and unsatisfactory. He mandated the Agricultural Committee team to produce a comprehensive report of their farming activities and their financial transactions for proper scrutiny.
Present at the meeting were past and present principals, Mr Nweze Joseph and Mr Mbam Alike Dennis, the vice principal administration and Agriculture teacher, Mr Obia Ignatius and Mr Nkwuda Felix.
The special assistant there after admonished them to adhere to safety measures as directed by the state Governor Engr David Nweze Umahi against the global pandemic, COVID-19 virus.
