Ebonyi PDP National Assembly Members; The Dumbest - Nwebonyi

Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Ebonyi state Chairman of the people's Democratic party PDP, have lashed at the national Assembly Members of the party from the state, describing them as the dumbest.

In a statement he personally endorsed and made available to celplusmedia, reads in full;

"Members of the PDP caucus in the National Assembly from Ebonyi State who are afraid they could not secure a return ticket to the National Assembly have been making frantic efforts to disorganize the party in the state. This is to enable them remove all the elected executives who they fear might not vote for them in the party's primaries in 2022. 

"It is evident that the national assembly members from Ebonyi State who of the PDP are the dumbest in the national assembly, especially those of them from Ebonyi North and Central. Imagine a senator who is serving a second term but could not boast of any tangible achievement in the national assembly or even in his constituency. Senator Sam Egwu, for instance, whose second term ticket was made possible by disenfranchisimg others is the one carrying himself as the leader of the party in the state. Imagine, Egwu supervised two road projects in Izzi land as costituency projects. Instead of having the projects done for the benefit of Ebonyians is alleged to have connived with the contractors to divert the fund for the projects to his personal pocket. One of the projects is the road leading from the ring road through Iziogo Market to Onuenyim Agbaja in Izzi LGA.  Less than one kilometer of that road was constructed albeit shabbily, and God knows what with the fund. The other one is the Eze Ajibo Road from Enugu - Abakaliki Expressway to Ugbodo through Nwambara. Less than half a kilometer of that road was constructed. At present that road is not motorable. The funds for those projects were alleged to have dubiously diverted by Senator Sam Egwu and taken down his gluttonous maw in connivance with the contractors. It is high time people begin to ask questions. Is it not the daft Dr. Sam Egwu who threw a multi million naira birthday and wedding anniversary bash during his time as minister for education when the universities were on strike that drew the ire of the then president, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua? Such are the people that represent us at the national level.

"Let it be known to the general public and particularly the members of the PDP that Sen. Sam Egwu and his cohorts are on a mission to destroy the PDP in Ebonyi State. They have been carrying the insinuation around that I am the erstwhile chairman of the PDP while the issue of their orchestrated dissolution of the ward, LGA, and state executives of the party in the state is still pending in court. They are looking for an avenue to cause crisis in the PDP so the can easily defect to another party. In fact they are even the ones working for the APC. Their ineptitude and lack of concern for their constituents are the factors working against them not the PDP executives. They have become liabilities to the party or at best non valuable assets.

"I want to restate that the elected executives of the PDP in Ebonyi State remain the authentic leadership of the party unless the court rules otherwise. Those who are parading themselves as the caretaker executives are only doing that in Abuja and on the social media".
