Corona Virus:NGF To Work With FG To Set Up Isolation Centres As Umahi, El- Rufai, Others Forms Members Of Advisory Subcommittee

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi FNSE, FNATE, yesterday, attended Nigeria Governors Forum meeting at NGF Secretariate, Abuja.

The Governors forum welcomed Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma who attended the forum meeting for the first time.

The forum pledged to work with the Federal Ministry of Health to set up a functional test and Isolation centres in all the States in the country.

After an extensive discussion on the impact of Convid-19 pandemic and fallen oil prices on the Nigerian Economy and revenue of the state government, the forum constituted a subcommittee consisting of the Governors of Kaduna, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Ogun, Nassarawa, Edo and Jigawa states to comprehensively review the trend and advise the government on the set of action required to address challenges in our economy.

The forum also sympathized with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu, on the unfortunate incident that led to the loss of about 20 persons in the State .

The forum meeting was presided by its Chairman, Governor Fayemi Kayode of Ekiti State.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part.
