Ebonyi State Government Seeks Modalities For Full Scale Industrialization


Ebonyi State Government has concluded plans to embark on full scale Industrialization of the state.

Governor Umahi's administration plans on Industrialization of the state was contained in message released by the state Commmissioner for information and state orientation who is also the Acting Commmissioner for human capital Development and monitoring, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji.
Reads in part:
"In keeping with the Zero Oil master plan of the State Government, the Governor of Ebonyi State,  His Excellency, Chief Engr David Umahi FNSE, FNATE has set up a committee to review the status, analyse the potentials and recommend best investment strategies that will drive the industrialization processes of the critical facilities of the state government, including the State Integrated Poultry farm, the Ezzangbo Veterinary Complex, the State owned Rice mills, the Fertilizer Blending Plants, the Cassava Plants, the Pipe Production Company, the State Water Projects and the State Government livestock programme".

"The Committee is made up of the following:
1. Hon Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, Chairman
2. Dr. Stephen  Odoh, Secretary
3. Chief Barr. Samuel Okoronkwo, Member
4. Chief Moses Ogodoali Nomeh, Member
5. Hon. Chief Donatus Njoku, Member
6. Hon. Chief Clement A. Nweke, Member
7. Barr (Mrs.) Chioma Nweze, Member
8. Hon. Mathew Uguru, Member
9. Deaconess Emerald Udeakaji, Member
10. All Permanent Secretaries, Member
11. Surveyor Mohammed, Technical Consultant
12. Representative of Ministry of Works, Technical Person
13. Representative of Ministry of Infrastructure, Technical Person
14. Representative of Ministry of Housing, Technical Person
15. Representative of Ministry of Water Resources, Technical Person"
The statement also reads "the committee is to be inaugurated on Tuesday 10th March, 2020 at the State Executive Chamber, Government House, Abakaliki. Time: 12 Noon", the statement concluded.
