Inyimegu Unuhu Crises: Normalcy Returns

The crises witnessed at inyimegu unuhu village, a suburb of Abakaliki capital city, has been put under control, following a Swift response of the Hon. Commissioner for internal security, border peace and conflict resolution, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha.
The Commissioner, who mobilised a combined team of military, SARS, Neighborhood security watch and all the major political leaders in Abakaliki LGA, was able quell the rampaging angry youths from the neighboring Agbaja unuhu community who were on a revange of an alleged murder of a 25 Year old Mmaduachi Akode by a suspected cultists
in a burial wake keep at Inyimegu unuhu village, Sunday night.

The Agbaja youths in a revange mission, mobilised in their numbers, decended and attacked Inyimegu unuhu community in  the early hours of Monday morning, destroying and burning houses.

The indicident saw the villagers in drones scampering and carting away with their belongings for safety.

Meanwhile, the police public relations officer, Ebonyi State command, Loveth Odah, confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation, but maintained that normalcy is gradually returning to the area. Odah, said that the CP has ordered the deployment of police tactical team to station in the area to forestall any further break down of law and order in the area.

The PPRO also confirmed the arrest of three people, Mr Chukwuma Nwofoke, Mr Chikodiri Nkwede and Joseph Nwokporo in connection with the murder, while the leader, known as "One Man" is still at large.
She concluded that the CP has ordered for full investigation into the issues as the body of the diseased has been deposited in the mortuary for orthorpsy.
