POLICE SEAL UP PDP CONVENTION VENUE.

– The Nigerian police have sealed the convention ground of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Port Harcourt, Rivers state
– Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja had insisted that the PDP must stop its planned national convention
– On his part,  Justice Ibrahim Watila of the Port Harcourt Division of the Federal High Court, directed the INEC, IGP and others to monitor the convention, thereby ruling that the convention should go on

The Nigerian police have sealed the convention ground of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Naij.com can authoritatively report.
According to the police, it sealed off the convention ground after two courts of same jurisdiction gave two conflicting orders on the national convention of the PDP.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part. "Our party hails the legislative house strongly for this feat and flexible decision. Expectedly, the legislators should follow action to see that this fund is fully released so as to guarantee free and fair election.
