PROF. PAUL EMEKA AND EFCC SAGA !!
In the month of May 2014,
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) waded into the crisis rocking the Assemblies of God Church as it probed the finances of the church over the alleged purchase of N220 million property in Germany by Rev.Prof.Paul Emeka.
The probe was sequel to a petition by a breakaway group of the church led by the former Assistant General Superintendent, Reverend Chidi Okoroafor.
The faction alleged that the property, whose purchase was said to have been completed in 2011, did not exist, adding that the General Superintendent, Professor Paul Emeka had solely engaged in the transaction.
At the end of the investigation by EFCC,
Rev. Prof Paul Emeka was exonerated of all accusations against him by Chidi and Alaje.
Rather, the EFFC traced a missing N20M of the transactions to Alajes private bank account.
To cut the long story short, for a strange reason, Alaje was not prosecuted by EFCC !!
If the apex leader of AG Nigeria, Prof. Paul emeka was probed by this Graft agents; why is Vincent Alaje holding the church to ransom.
The breakaway have all agreed to come back as prodigal sons to beg for Prof's forgiveness. But the former GT, bro. Abdulkareem Alaje and a few of his sympathisers are insisting that he will be the scape goat !!
Rev.Alaje knows that AG Auditing searchlight will be on him immediately the crisis is over !!
Come to think of it, why is it that some of our leaders and pastors have sleepless nights when we hear the word AUDIT COMMITTEE !!
Why should a pastor be afraid of auditors coming to look into his books.
After all, we are the preachers and custodians of integrity.
If the Auditors want Sectional Leaders to come with the account books of churches under them, the entire Presbytery must allow them do their job.
If Rev. Prof Paul Emeka allowed himself to be subjected to forensic auditing by the almighty EFCC without loosing sleep, why would an anointed Man of God be crying like a baby over a Financial Probe Panel.
This is the new AG Nigeria, PPE is talking about !!
In this new dispensation of AG, no National Department, including our Seminaries, is allowed to open a backyard account without the knowledge and signature of the GS !!
Leaders,Pastors,deacons and others must stand out when it comes to financial integrity.
If Prof Paul Emeka had stolen money or manipulated figures through his proxies, he would have long been forgotten .
We all know that Alaje specializes in stealing millions. If Rev. Alaje steals millions of Naira and I steal thousands or even hundreds of Naira, WE ARE ALL THIEVES !! Stealing is stealing!
A District Superintendent, Sectional leader, or parish pastor should be happy that Auditors are coming !!
It is a time to welcome the Auditors with open arms,give them good food and put them in the best hotels. AFTER ALL, THERE IS NO SKELETON IN YOUR CUPBOARD !!
Listen folks, in the new AG, transparency and integrity are required.
Whether Vincent Alaje likes it or not, he will be probed.
Prof. has been investigated and found clean !!
Just because auditors are coming shouldn't make us to start throwing tantrums like children.
It does not call for nocturnal meetings and BP going high.
Alaje should do the needful. He should own up. Allow the Auditors to do their job. Let's know how much was stolen. Who and who will refund certain amount.
The advantage of having Auditors probe our finances is to prove your critics wrong.
If our hands are clean, we need not fret.
An attempt to manipulate figures before the arrival of Audit Team is a complete manipulation of your destiny.
If I connive with my treasurer and others to cover embezzlement, i have mortgaged my ministry and future. It could incur unknown diseases and calamities. May God help us !
They brought in EFCC to probe Rev. Prof. Paul Emeka. Nobody is too big to be probed !!
