Neighborhood Security Watch Group Tasked On Diligence, Professionalism... Assures Of Better Welfare Packages

The Hon. Commissioner for internal security and Border peace, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha have charged the members of the neighborhood security Watch to be at their best in the discharge of their duties, to further justify the confidence the governor, Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi reposed in them. Chief Emegha gave the charge during a meeting with the group, held at the multi purpose Hall, cabinet office, Government House, Abakaliki. He said, "the aim of this meeting is to review our security mechanism and restrategize on how to carry out effective security surveillance before, during and after the Independence day celebrations". John Ogodo have aggressively pursued the course with great vigor across the four and a half electoral wards that makes up the DC. Hon. I Will Waive My Constitutional Immunity To Clear My Name - Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has declared his readiness to waive his constitutional immunity to “enable the most robust adjudication” of several baseless allegations, insinuation and falsehoods against his person and office. Prof. Osinbajo made this declaration in a tweet he personally authored this afternoon. Below is the full text of his tweet: “In the past few days, a spate of reckless and malicious falsehoods have been peddled in the media against me by a group of malicious individuals. “The defamatory and misleading assertions invented by this clique had mostly been making the social media rounds anonymously. “I have today instructed the commencement of legal action against two individuals, one Timi Frank and another Katch Ononuju, who have put their names to these odious falsehoods. “I will waive my constitutional immunity to enable the most robust adjudication of these claims of libel and malicious falsehood.”

SA Agriculture Embarks On Aggressive Monitoring Of School Agricultural Program

In an effort to ensure the sustainability and high productivity of school Agricultural program of Ebonyi state government,  the special assistant to the governor on school Agricultural program, Hon. Uchenna Aga, have undertaken an assessment tour of all the pilot schools in the state to know the progress of the program so far. In the schools visited, Hon. Aga inspected the farms and thereafter, inaugurates Committee that will ensure effective monitoring and implementation of the program in their respective schools. These are schools that benefited from Governor David Umahi's Agric grant of one million Naira in 2017 and have invested same in their respective Agricultural programs of choice. Dr Onyebuchi Chima joined Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), now Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) in August 2012. His career has had an interdisciplinary focus, beginning with seven years teaching experience in secondary schools; two years public service with the Government of Ebonyi State, Nigeria and several years of work experience for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the UK and Nigeria. Ebonyi Govt. Moves To Improve School Agriculture Program

In an effort to resorcitate and revamp the School Agriculture program in Ebonyi State, the special Assistant to the Governor on School Agriculture program, Hon. Aga Uchenna Kennedy, last Friday, September 6th, had a meeting with the principal of the 31 pilot schools in the state. The meeting gave them the opportunity to brainstorm on the success of the program so far, challenges, prospects of the program and other areas that needef to be explored such as poultry farm, fishry, snail farm among others. They also reviewed the impact of the 2018 school Agriculture grants from the state governor, Chief Engr David Nweze Umahi and sorts ways of improving and sustaining it. They also discussed how to form Young Farmers Association in all participating schools so as to Inculcate the culture of farming in the lives of the young ones and in turn, improve the economy of state through Agriculture. Special Assistant to the governor on School Agriculture, Hon. Aga Kennedy Uchenna, have empowered one Mr Ekene Aluda, whom he described as a true party man, with a new motorcycle. Present during the hand over of the motorcycle to the beneficiary were Hon.  Ofor Ewura, Nkalagu Ward Councilor, Hon. Chiede Ikechukwu, PDP ward Chairman for Nkalagu among others. Hon. Aga said that he's toeing the line of governor Umahi, whom he said, have empowerment  thousands of youths and women since he assumed office. He said,  he is confident that the little gesture will assist Aluda in meeting some of need. Responding, Mr Aluda thanked him for empowering him and promised to make good of motorcycle for for productive ventures.

We Are Ready To Divide Nigeria - Northern Elders Forum

Prof Ango Abdullahi -spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum, a think-tank for the 19 Northern states, has said that the north is ready if Nigeria decides to break up. In an interview with Sunday Sun, Ango, a politician, professor of Agronomy, one-time Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University who attended four constitutional conferences in Nigeria threw a challenge to those who think that the North is afraid of Nigeria’s disintegration into more basic constituents, saying the North was ever ready for the dissolution and that the way to go about it was through the calling of a formal meeting with complete powers to terminate the legal relationships between the constituent parts in Nigeria. Zimbabwean Independent icon and ex-president who ruled for nearly 4 decades has died at the age of 95, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced. Robert Mugabe who ruled Zimbabwe from its independence in 1980 until he was ousted in 2017 died in Singapore Mnangagwa said.
