We Will Sustain The Fight Against Corruption - Gov. Umahi


The Executive Governor of Ebonyi state , Engnr David Nweze Umahi, has vowed to sustain the fight against corruption in the state.

The Governor stated this at an event, recently in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital. Gov. umahi maintained that he was deeply and passionately moved to fighting corruption and will ensure that the ugly monster was defeated if not completely eradicated.

You could recalled that, Governor David Nweze Umahi was on October 10, conferred with an Anti- corruption commander, by the acting chairman of Independent  Corrupt Practises And other related offences commission ICPC, Barr. Bako Abdulahi. He said that the conferment  of an Anti - Corruption commander on Governor Umahi was purely based on his consistency and doggedness in the fight against corruption and other related offence.
Barr. Abdulahi maintained that Gov. Umahi remained a committed member and a dependable ally in the fight against corruption.

Responding, Gov Umahi assured the commission that he will be at the fore front in the fight against corruption, through vigorous campaign and also acting as a whistle blower in a bid to stamp out corruption.

Meanwhile, in a bid to create the needed awareness on the fight against corruption, Ebonyi state Government has crested relevant act of ICPC  and stand it at


a strategic points in all public office in the state, so as to help sensitize the people on the things that constitute corrupt practices and the penalty for such offe
nce or crime.

Governor Umahi however, commended president Buhari for his commitment  to anti corruption and urged all Nigerians to support the President's anti - corruption campaign.
