Labour Leader Lauds Gov. Umahi's Approval Of Two Years Leave Allowance.

The Ebonyi State chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC has lauded the state Governor, Chief Engnr David Nweze Umahi for approving the 2016/2017 workers leave Allowance.

The state chairman of the labour union, Comrade Leonard Inka made the commendation in Abakaliki, the state capital. He stated that the action of Gov Umahi was a welcome development, as it will not only motivate the workers to greater productivity but will also enhance the quality of service delivery in the state workforce.
Comrade Inka maintained that the payment of the allowance will help alleviate the suffering and excruciating hardship faced by workers which orchestrated by the harsh economic reality in the country.

The state  labour leader who also doubles as the state chairman, Nigeria union of local Government Employee NULGE, said that he believe in dialogue and will continue to engage the state government in constructive dialogue on matters concerning workers welfare. he said that the payment of workers promotion arrears and lifting of embargo on promotion were being discussed and would soon be addressed by government.
He however urged workers in the state to remain committed ,be more dedicated to duty and shun any act capable of jeopardising their efficient service delivery to the state.

You would recalled that Gov. Umahi was on Friday, November 3rd ordered that the state workers leave allowance for 2016/2017 be paid by December 2017.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part.
