The special assistant to Ebonyi state Governor on Capital City, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, have urged motorists and other road users within the Abakaliki capital city, especially those that frequently ply the ever busy Abakaliki/Afikpo road by Akanu-Ibiam flyover Junction, to drive with caution in order not to cause unnecessary and avoidable loss of life and destruction of property. The caution came in view of the dual construction work going on within that axis. He stated that the reconstruction and pavement of some part of the road that links Onwe road and the major construction work going on at the site of Glass tunnel meant to link the ecumenical center, were all geared towards making Abakaliki capital city the best in Nigeria, and urge them to drive safe to be alive to enjoy the facilities. Stanley Okoro Emegha have urged the commercial vehicle operators within the capital city to maintain only the designated motor parks and bus stops within the metropolis and refrain from the act of indiscriminate   dropping and picking of passengers along major roads within the capital city. He maintained that the act of picking and dropping of passengers at undesignated point by some commercial vehicles and tricycle operators within Abakaliki metropolis has been constituting perceptible menace and nuisance and such had placed overbearing consequencies on other road users and it is totally unacceptable.
