By Our Reporter Ebonyi State Government has announced bans on street/road trading along major roads from old Government House to Onuebonyi Junction, Afikpo road through Akanu Ibiam to Onuebonyi Junction and all the streets within the neigbourhood of old Abakpa Market, effective from Wednesday, 4th March, 2020. In a statement made available to newsmen and personally endorsed by the secretary to Ebonyi State Governmet/Coordinating Commmissioner and who also the Chairman, Exco Committee on international market, Dr Kenneth Ugbala, reveals that Government directs that anyone found violating this directive should be arrested, investigated and prosecuted in line with the law. The statement further directs all landlords whose buildings are located within old Abakpa Market to register with the Office of the Secretary to the State Government/Coordinating Commissioner within 5 days from date, failure of which will attract serious financial penalty and or sealing of the building.
