Umahi's Defection Will Streamline Ebonyi Politics - APC Chairman

Ebonyi state caretaker Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, have declared once again that the defection of the State Governor, Engr David Umahi from the people’s Democratic party PDP, to the All Progressive Congress APC, is the best thing that ever happened to the entire Igbo Nation. Adding that his defection will help to streamline Ebonyi Politics.
Chief Emegha stated this when a political group “Ebonyi Progressive Alliance” paid him a courtesy visit in his office. He pointed out that the courageous and bold move of the governor is a selfless sacrifice for the total liberation and political emancipation of Igbo race.
He said that the defection has accorded the state and indeed, the South East, its pride of place in the national politics of the country, stressing that the move will usher real democratic dividends to the people of the zone. He described those oppossing the Governor’s move to APC as uninformed and common enemy of the people.
Chief Emegh enjoined those are yet convinced, to come onboard and join hands to build the party, stating that the coming of the governor into the party will take the state to the appropriate place God has planned for her.
The APC state Caretaker Chairman expressed Joy over the visit of Ebonyi Progressive Alliance, assuring them of his determination to unite both old and new members of the party and to carry all members along in the quest to reposition the party for the good of the members.
He charged the group to remain loyal and committed to success of the party, pointing out that the party under his watch, is moving without fear.
Earlier, the national president of Ebonyi Progressive Alliance, Mr Vincent Dike, said the essence of the visit was to thanked the governor for his wisest decision to join the All Progressive Congress APC, which he said, was for the best interest of the people of the state in particular and South East in general.
He said that the group will mobilize the over fifty thousand members across the state and beyond, to support the political agenda of the governor.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of the official portrait of the state Chairman and party’s banner to the Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha.
