EndSars; Security Commissioner Lauds Umahi's Excellent Leadership, Calls For End To wantom Destruction

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has been commended for his show of excellent leadership and patriotic zeal in handling the current unrest in the state.


Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for internal security border peace and conflict resolution, gave the commendation while monitoring the situation around the state municipality.


Emegha said, the Swift response and attendant to the demands of the protesters by the governor through the setting up of Judicial Panel of enquiry headed by Hon Justice Alloy Nwankwo to investigate the cases of Police brutality in the State and other matter connected thereto with a view to ensure that Justice is guaranteed for the victims has earned wide commendation, expressing firm believe that Government will definitely address the issue of Unemployment and other issues affecting the youth.


He also commended the governor for the synergy he injected into the various security agencies in the state which he said, has helped in a monumental proportion, in handling the infiltration of criminals elements into the state on the guise of #Endsars protest.


The security commissioner however, appeal to the teaming Youths of Ebonyi to sheath their sword and cease further protest forthwith, since Government has shown interest to address the issue squarely.


Chief Emegha further condemned the wantom destruction of public properties by imported hoodlums, as a way of demonstrating grievances as it is not, and will never be the solution to the unbridle issues surrounding the youths and the entire masses. "Let’s leave the street and wait to see the result of the previous protest", he pleaded.


He further urged the youths to resist any form of temptation to join hands with those outside the state who do not mean well for the state in destroying the monumental and hard earned achievements of the present administration in the state.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state.
