By Our Reporter Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has been commended for his show of excellent leadership and patriotic zeal in handling the current unrest in the state. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for internal security border peace and conflict resolution, gave the commendation while monitoring the situation around the state municipality. Emegha said, the Swift response and attendant to the demands of the protesters by the governor through the setting up of Judicial Panel of enquiry headed by Hon Justice Alloy Nwankwo to investigate the cases of Police brutality in the State and other matter connected thereto with a view to ensure that Justice is guaranteed for the victims has earned wide commendation, expressing firm believe that Government will definitely address the issue of Unemployment and other issues affecting the youth. Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi of has sacked his Special Assistant on Internal Security and Utility (Urban), Mr. Saint Nchekwube Anakor for non performance and prevailing security challenges in the state. The Governor also sacked the Development Centre Coordinator of Anuagata, Barr. Amos Ogbonnaya, Coordinator Okposi Development Center , Mr. Jerry Okorie Ude and Mrs. Martha Nwankwo Coordinator Ohaozara-East Development Center all in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State. To avoid loopholes, the Governor nominated Mr Chidiebere Egwu as the Special Assitant on Internal Security and Utility Urban. Umahi also announced three Development Center Coordinators to take over the three development centers where their previous coordinators have been removed. A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala said the suspension becomes necessary to help the State Government address current security situation in the state. The Chairman of Southeast Governors' Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, Engr.  David Umahi has called on all Igbos living anywhere in the country to remain peaceful and go about their legitimate businesses without entertaining any fear of molestation.
