Umahi's Ex- Security Aide Lauds EBSIEC, Umahi For Successful Council Election

The immediate past Executive Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security, Hon. Uzoma Ani (Soul 2 Soul) has commended the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) for the peaceful conduct of the 2020 Local Government Election in Ebonyi State which according to him is adjudged credible and transparent.


He attributed the huge success to the perfect arrangements put in place by the commission for the conduct of a hitch-free election in terms of the deployment of a well trained ad hoc staff, adequate security logistics including distribution and early arrival of sensitive and non-sensitive materials at the various polling units across the state among others.


Hon. Uzoma Ani described the dynamic and wonder working Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi as a true democrat who has shown unwavering commitment towards the enthronement of genuine democracy in Nigeria, stressing that the Governor has since his assumption of office in 2015 made sure that the third tier Government has been consistently manned by democratically elected representatives of the people who are sufficiently equipped with local knowledge in respect of the priority needs of the people they govern.


The former Executive Assistant to the Governor noted with satisfaction that the newly sworn in Council Chairmen are exclusively made up of tested and trusted performers and however expressed optimism that they will replicate the giant strides of Gov. Umahi by stepping down development at the grassroots level.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. In a press statement made available to Celplusmedia and endorsed by Mr Michael Chukwu, Media Aide to the state Party Chairman, reads in part. The new born babies who are the crown Queen's birthday mates received gifts items from her. Queen Chikadibia who was warmly received with excitement by the management of the hospitals and mothers of the new born babies said the visit was part of her pet project for the year.
