COME OUT AND CAST YOUR VOTES; DO NOT BE DETERRED BY THE POSTPONEMENT, STANLEY OKORO EMEGHA CHARGES EBONYIANS

Ebonyi electorate have been urged not to be deterred by the mindless action of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the postponement of the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Election, but should rather come out en-mass and cast their ballot to the right candidates this Saturday, February, 23rd, been the rescheduled day for the presidential and National Assembly Elections in the country.

The Special Assistant to Ebonyi state governor on Abakaliki Capital city, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, made the appeal while addressing a cross section of members of Nigeria Union of teachers NUT and the Nigeria Union of local government employee NULGE, Afikpo south chapters, on Monday.

Hon. Emegha noted that, though, the disappointment orchestrated by the postponement was devastating, he urged the people to see it as some of the sacrifice for the sustenance of our democracy. “I know it is not easy, but I want you to see it as a sacrifice we must all make to get Nigeria working again” Emegha said.

He emphasized that the resounding achievements recorded by Engr. David Nweze Umahi’s administration have made his victory come 9th March, sacrosanct. He said that, it does matter how many times INEC want to shift the election. “If INEC like let them shift the election ten times, Edda people have made up their minds to return Umahi and other PDP candidates”.
He charged all to get ready to come out and cast their votes overwhelmingly to the candidates of People’s Democratic Party at all levels, to get Nigeria working again.

Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha therefore, reiterated his earlier call on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the security agencies to remain apolitical and ensure they give a level playing field to all political parties and their candidates to guarantee peace and stability of Nigeria.
