Independence Day Celebrations: Ikoro Boosts Education In Constituency

The Member Representing Afikpo North - West Constituency , who also doubles as the Deputy Leader of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Kingsley Ogbonna Ikoro, has decided to use the 57th Nigeria Independence celebration and 21st year anniversary of creation of Ebonyi state, to add value to Education system in his constituency.

The Lawmaker, who is currently serving his second term in Ebonyi state house of Assembly, believed that Education is the best legacy one can bequeat his generation, decided to channel his Democratic energy towards knowing the challenges faced by schools in his constituency with the view of responding to such challenges. In view of this, celplusmedia gathered that Hon. Ikoro  and his team visited Ozizza Comprehensive Secondary School, Ozizza  Afikpo; Onomike Grammar School, Ozizza and Igbojimba Grammar school also in Ozizza. Others are, Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri; community Secondary School, Amasiri and Akpoha Technical School , Akpoha.

All the School visited, presented one challenges or the other which the Lawmaker proffered solution to. For instance, he ordered and made payment for repair of some dilapidated structures in some of the school visited and the Coppers lodge that are in state of total disrepair. Hon. Ikoro, also purchased Lockers for some students he saw, squarting with other students during his visit. he equally procure school uniforms to some students who has none. He distributed writing materials to all the staffs, students and the NYSC members who were currently in their primary assignments in all the school visited. Hon. Ikoro pledged to assist financially, all the intelligent and neatly dressed students in their academic pursuit.

The lawmaker, also promised to revive the ICT centre in the school and equally ressucitate  the moribund school Laboratory. he also gave money  to the school Head for fumigation exercise in the school in order to checkmate the control of rats and rudents in the school. Hon. Ikoro equally promised to undertake the financial responsibilities of registering all the SS3 Students their S.S.C.E. in all schools visited.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ikoro and his team equally visited the school Farm where he donated fertilizer to them to boost their crops yield, in line with the Aggressive Agricultural Revolution of Ebonyi state Government under the administration of Engnr David Nweze Umahi.

Ebonyi APP Commends The State House Of Assembly's Approval Of N180m For Council Polls

The Ebonyi state chapter of Action People's Party(APP) have commended the Ebonyi state House of Assembly for expressly approving the 180 million requested by the state governor as the amount needed by the Ebonyi state Independence Electoral commission (EBSIEC) for the conduct of the 2020 Council election in the state. Queen Chikadibia celebrates birthday with February babies in Hospitals
