No Going Back On Abakaliki Ring Road Project - Gov. Umahi.

Ebonyi state Governor, Engnr David Nweze Umahi has disclosed his firm resolve to construct the Abakaliki Ring Road, even if the $150m loan being sought for is accessed or not. Gov. Umahi made this known to newsmen in Abakaliki recently. he made it known to opposition in the state, that his administration does not rely solely on loan to construct the ring road, stressing that he was committed to that road project and must construct it for the general good of all Ebonyians. The governor pointed out that, the Ring Road project should be the most desire of every Abakaliki man, and any Abakaliki person that is opposed to the construction of the Ring Road is already cursed.  The wife of former president Goodluck Jonathan has continued her ongoing battle with the EFCC - Patience Jonathan recently had her staff remove all inscriptions the commission had put on her hotel - The hotel worth N2 billion was reportedly under investigation, but she seems to be daring the anti-graft agency Patience Jonathan has recovered her N2bn hotel which was sealed off by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in June 2017. The EFCC had placed the red inscriptions saying: ‘EFCC Under Investigation’ all over the hotel which is located near Setraco Construction Company, off the Mabushi Kado Expressway. The Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has reacted to a statement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that information about its ongoing investigations were leaked after the commission made same available to the justice ministry. BENUE STATE GOVT LUCKED DOWN AS WORKERS BEGINS A 7- DAY WARNING STRIKE.

Benue State workers on Tuesday embarked on a 7-day warning strike over the non-payment of salaries and allowances. A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who went round some offices, observed that they were all locked as the workers complied with the directive by the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress to stay away from offices. NAN also observed that usually busy routes leading to most offices were quiet. At the State Secretariat in High-level area, Makurdi NAN met only security personnel behind the locked gates. At the Secretary to the State Government’s Office along JS Tarkaa way, only a few casual staff were sighted loitering around. Other offices visited included the Benue State Environmental and Sanitation Agency, Benue State Water Board and the Urban Development Board . KADUNA ABDUCTION; ABDUCTORS DEMANDS #40 MILLION RANSOM.

A group of suspected kidnappers who abducted a director with the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology are demanding for N40 million ransom, an official in the ministry has said. The victim, Mr John Gorah, was abducted at midnight on Sunday at his residence located in Mararaban Rido, Kaduna. The Deputy Director, Higher Education in the ministry, Mr Steven Haruna, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna on Tuesday that the kidnappers had contacted the victim’s family. Haruna explained that the kidnappers stormed the victim’s house, fired multiple gunshots in the air to scare people and pulled down a section of the fence before taking Gorah away. He also said that the kidnappers abducted a nursing mother in the neighbourhood, leaving her three weeks old baby behind. “The kidnappers have called the family and demanded for N40 million ransom,” he told NAN.

The Bayelsa State police command has confirmed suspected armed men attack at the Kolo Police Station located in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The attack which left a policeman dead and some injured started at a check point close to the station. According to report the suspected militants had attacked and abducted a boat owner along Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state. The attack on the police officers on duty was aimed at stealing arms and ammunition. The state Police command has assured  the public details from the Police Public Relations unit. MISSING $49 BILLION; SARAKI IS VINDICATED - Omishore.

An aide to the President of the Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki has said that the Senate’s President has long been vindicated for calling out non-remittances in the oil sector. According to NAN's report,the special Assistant to Saraki on New Media, Bamikole Omishore stated that he (Saraki) pointed out the non remittance of $49 billion to the Federation Account by the former minister of Petroleum. Omishore added that even as a senator in the 7th Assembly and member of the Senate Committee on Finance, the President of the 8th Senate did not sign the report that exonerated the then minister of Petroleum Diezani Allison Madueke. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested seven National Diploma (ND) students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State for alleged offences bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretences and possession of forged documents. The suspects- Adesina Olalekan, Makinde Noheem, Toheeb Ogunowo, Somotun Olusola, Somotun Sodiq, Tajudeen Hafeez Bolaji and Kareem Olaseni- are studying various courses in the institution. They were arrested alongside Iyun Ifeoluwa, Odusanwo Ibrahim, Obanijesu Opeyemi Soneye, Azeez Olayinka, Babatunde Ajala, Ojejimi Ademola, Aderowunmi Ayomide and Oluokun Oluwaseun by operatives of the Commission within Abeokuta and its environs on August 17, 2016, following a petition received by the Commission about their activities.
