Tinubu his blaming the loss of Abraham on Gov Aregbesola, who supported another candidate in the election, Olusola Oke.
Aregbesola is believed to have supported Oke with the understanding that Bola Ilori, his Special Adviser on Environment, would be made the deputy governorship candidate.
Oke scored 576 votes to come third in the exercise.
Before Saturday's primary election, Abraham had reported the governor to Tinubu, noting that everywhere he went he saw Aregbesola working for Oke.
Tinubu, who was outside the country, had called Aregbesola to support Abraham in the election.
While the governor tactically accepted Tinubu's order, he mandated Ilori to continue working for Oke behind the scene.
The governor has, however denied working against Tinubu.
