2023; Igbo Youth Group Embarks On Search For Suitable Igbo Presidential Candidate

By our Reporter The coalition of South East Youth Leaders, (COSEYL) have set up committee to search for suitable credible presidential aspirants that will be presented to Nigerians for 2023 presidential election. According to the press statement jointly signed by the president general of the group Mr Good luck Egwu and the secretary general, comrade Kenice Igwe, revealed that the candidates will be men and women of proven integrity, hard work and must have performed in any previous public position they have held before now.  The statement reads in full; "We the Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, the Apex sociopolitical group in the South East geopolitical zone have set up a committee to search for suitable credible presidential aspirants that will be presented to Nigerians for 2023 presidential election. Umahi's Aide, HOS, Calls For End Of JUSSUN Industrial Action

By Our Reporter Following the industrial action embarked upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria Ebonyi State Chapter on 13th August, 2020 over the alleged non implementation of Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure (CONJUS) the Special assisstant to the governor on Inter Party and Labour Matters, Mr Jenifer Adibe Nwafor has called on the union to call off the industrial action for  the interest of peace and stability of the judicial arm of Government in the state. She made the call during a meeting with the national leadership of Judiciary staff union of Nigeria JUSUN, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital.  She expressed displeasure over the neglect of her office by the state leadership of the Union, who she said failed to notify her office before embarking on such action, "there are channels that must be followed before embarking on industrial action by any union which Ebonyi JUSUN failed to follow. Insecurity; Buhari Meet With North East Governors, Service Chiefs

By Our Reporter President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met behind closed doors with the six governors of the North East Zone and security chiefs at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting was also attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha. The National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno,  and the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, also attended the meeting. The affected governors, who were led by their Chairman and governor of Borno, Prof. Babagana Zulum, included Ahmadu Fintri (Adamawa), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi State), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe State), Darius Ishaku (Taraba) and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe). The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas were equally at the meeting. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadi
