We are solid on the ground, and I believe that they are a threat to the other parties and not our party. “The Buhari administration is a colossal failure, and the entire country is aware of this.”In a related vein, the National Conscience Party (NCP) in Katsina State has warned that tough times await politicians who rode to power on the back of Buhari during the 2015 general elections. Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the Presidential election in 2019 despite alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government to rig the poll. Speaking during the meeting of the National Working Committee and PDP Governors Forum in Asaba, Delta State, Wike said PDP will return to power because Nigerians yearn for the return of pro-people’ss leadership. The governor said if democratic principles are respected, those claiming to be seeking a second term after a woeful performance would have declined contesting elections. According to Wike, “We are going to win the Presidency in 2019. We take it for granted that we have won our governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly seats. “Frankly speaking, If Nigeria is a country where democracy is democracy, so many won’t talk about contesting election. Because first of all you need to tell the people what you have done for them. “Wha

IBB, however, enjoined Nigerians to co-operate with Buhari until his tenure ends. This was contained in a press statement released on Sunday by his spokesman, Kassim Afegbua. His statement comes a week after former president, Olusegun Obasanjo asked Buhari not to seek re-election. FULL STATEMENT… In the past few months and weeks, I have played host to many concerned Nigerians who have continued to express legitimate and patriotic worry about the state of affairs in the country. A former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has provided reasons he would not be reacting to the statement credited to a former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, asking President Muhammadu Buhari not to run in the 2019 presidential election. The former military Head of State had yesterday asked Nigerians to  vote President Muhammadu Buhari out  of office next year. He, however, enjoined Nigerians to cooperate with Buhari until his tenure ends. In the lengthy statement, IBB listed the rate of killing and blood-letting in the country by the Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram insurgents in different parts among his reasons for making the call. He had said, “I get perplexed by their gory themes. From Southern Kaduna to Taraba state, from Benue state to Rivers, from Edo state to Zamfara, it has been a theatre of blood with cake of crimson. “In Dansadau in Zamfara state recently, North-West of Nigeria, over 200 souls were wasted for no justifiable reason.
